A contentious new chapter has just opened in the ongoing saga surrounding the killing of conservative figure Charlie Kirk. Prominent political commentator Candace Owens has decisively broken with the official narrative, claiming a source close to the events asserts the federal account of alleged shooter Tyler Robinson is completely untrue.
“I want to break this news immediately because it feels important and I think if I don’t break it immediately, something bad might happen,” Owens wrote in a Sept. 26 Instagram highlight. “I hope I have earned the trust enough of the people to believe me when I say that I have verified this information, but cannot reveal the source.”
“Tyler Robinson is not suicidal,” she continued. “The entire narrative that was placed in the media about him having been suicidal is completely fictional, as are many other aspects of what we have been told.”
“His father having ‘turned him in after a confession’ is also complete fiction,” Owens added. “To the contrary, Tyler Robinson maintains his innocence and has never even been to the UVU campus. There are absolutely zero photos or video that the campus can produce to the contrary.”

“Which is why they have produced nothing other than a blurry image which Tyler’s family knows is not him,” the podcaster wrote, referencing the Utah Valley University surveillance photo released by law enforcement. “Tyler has never once expressed a suicidal thought. I want to make that clear. The federal government is lying about absolutely everything, other than the fact that it is his gun.”
“Not that we needed further substantiation, but Tyler Robinson did not author those Discord messages,” she noted. “I would like to again stress that he has never been to UVU campus, but (and I need to confirm this later) I believe he was AROUND the campus on that day. I will have more on this later, but I wanted to immediately publish that the Tyler Robinson suicide narrative, plus the ‘dad that did the right thing after realizing his son was guilty’ is a federal concoction.”

Owens, who considered Kirk a “little brother,” hasn’t just offered critiques; she’s been unsparing in her accusation of a federal level of corruption gumming up the works. Her skepticism focuses on core elements of the case, suggesting the timeline, messages, and key evidence put forth by law enforcement are essentially a fabrication.
The official federal and local law enforcement narrative against Tyler Robinson centers on a premeditated, politically motivated assassination of Charlie Kirk. Evidence presented by prosecutors includes Robinson’s own alleged digital confessions: a note left for his roommate stating, “I had the opportunity to take out Charlie Kirk and I’m going to take it,” and follow-up text messages where he admitted, “I am. I’m sorry,” when asked if he was the shooter. Investigators also claim Robinson’s DNA was found on the trigger of the recovered bolt-action rifle, which he allegedly fired from a rooftop at Utah Valley University. The motive, while officially unconfirmed, is linked to Robinson’s alleged shift to leftist political views and his stated hatred for Kirk’s conservative rhetoric.
